St Clare’s aims to provide opportunities to develop and cultivate leadership qualities within all students. While not all students will be formally recognised in leadership roles, we aim to instil in all our young people a strong sense of social justice through servant leadership and service for others.

Student Representative Council

What is the St Clare’s Student Representative Council?

The St Clare’s Student Representative Council is always busy fundraising and supporting charities. Most recently it raised substantial funds for the Fred Hollows Foundation and for Cystic Fibrosis Australia. SRC members meet regularly to discuss important upcoming events, things the St Clare’s student body may need, and provide feedback and suggestions on improving the school community. The SRC is an active and passionate force at St Clare’s, supportive of the community and involved in many events. The SRC provides a fantastic opportunity for students to become an active voice in the community, to show leadership and take responsibility for their learning.

In partnership with the school body and other school groups, the SRC believes “together we can make a difference” and prides itself on that motto.

The SRC is committed to supporting and fundraising for many charities within Australia. During Term 2 in 2020, it committed to raising awareness about cystic fibrosis, which affects students and families within the St Clare’s community. The SRC and the Senior Leadership team are responsible for the organisation and running of St Clare’s school socials. They are always a highlight and students have a fantastic night. St Clare’s teaching staff and external security operators fully supervise these events.
